Bird spikes are a great bird control product for use on boats because they protect against pesky pigeons, gulls and other large birds from landing on railings, radar towers, booms and more. While bird spike bird deterrents re usually installed either by gluing or screwing the bird spikes to a surface, there are ways to attach this bird control product to boats. The easiest (and least expensive) attachment to railing or other thin, round areas is to attach the bird spikes with alligator grip cable ties from your local hardware store. This way you can zip the bird spikes on or off as needed. For other areas, bungee cords can be used as long as the spikes stay firmly in the upright position.
