The Woodpeckers Deterrent Attack Spider is a natural predator that will scare woodpeckers away and stop them from damaging your structure. Pull the string down to the desired length ( the spider has a built in 18 inch string) (near or close to the woodpecker problem area) and allow to swing in the wind. This spider does not need a battery! if you put a battery in the spider it may or may not operate.. The spiders are brand new but some of the switches were wired wrong. This unusual solution is both very inexpensive and highly effective. Hang the birds away attack scare spider along an eave or tree limb where the woodpeckers are drilling regularly and watch the woodpeckers take off! The movement of the woodpecker Deterrent spider will help keep woodpeckers away. It is easy to relocate the Scare Spider around your building as needed. Woodpeckers cannot stand them!
All bird scare products work best when used in combination with each other as they increase the birds fear and flight response to the perceived predator threat.
Additional installation options - Use Swivel Bracket Kit to increase movement and project into flight path. Visual bird deterrents are more effective when they are allowed to move freely in the wind and reflect sunlight back at the problem bird.
